The secret to blogging is to become an affiliate to products related to your blog. Now i will explain exactly what I mean. Lets say you have a blog about training dogs. Now you can place ads on the blog, which is what most of the people out there do. If you become an affiliate of a dog-training product and write a short 300-word article on it to your viewers, that could potentially make you a lot more than any ads will make you. The reason for this is because you can earn up to 75% promoting peoples products. So if the product sells for $100, you’d make $75 per sale! Out of 30,000 viewers, you’d probably get around a 2% conversion rate since they all want dog training information, meaning you have targeted readers. That’s around $45,000 dollars you’re missing out on… Now imagine doing this once a month you’d be happy with that right?

Making Money with AdSense and Blogger.

You don't have to know about html, css or even how to install blogging software to start your own money making blog. You can easily set up a blog for free in no more than five minutes and Blogger will even help you set up Google AdSense which in turn can help you make money from your blog every time a visitor clicks on the ads that are displayed. The key is to provide good quality content that will bring the visitors flooding in.

Another way to make money is through an affiliate program. just insert your affiliate links whenever post about a related subject. But remeber only add your affiliate links to related posts or you will put your reader off.

The Money Making Equation

1 part Self Analysis + 2 parts Effort = Online Income

Before venturing into the world of making money online a little self analysis can make the difference between success and failure, because to ensure longevity you have to have at least a passing interest in the area you have chosen.

Why Make Money Online

Today i want to discuss my reasons for making money online and in particular why i started.

It all began for me when i stumbled on a little book called

How To Make A Fortune On The Internet by Ajay Ahuja

This was the book that inspired me to try and persue an online income. It contained valuable info on topics such as building websites, setting up affiliate programs and google adwords.

I won.t bore you with my interpetation of the book but if you are interested in obtaining a copy it is now available in ebook format and can be obtained from

The Site also contains a ton of information and tips for people just starting out online.

So with the help of this book i decided to start by building my own website. I have been writing personalised rhyming poetry for family and friends for many years, so thought i would try and sell them online and so buyarhyme was spawned ( you can see the site at ) www.buyarhyme.com. Although the site is very basic ( please remeber that i didn,t have a clue about building websites before the book ) it catered for my needs at the time.

I used a free program called namu6 and added products, adsense and amazon. So far the site has been successful on a very small scale and has made me a small residual income. This has convinced me that even a novice like myself can make some money online even with very limited skills.

What i loved about it was that i could make a residual income with very little effort and with maximum enjoyment and if thats not incentive enough for persuing an online income i don,t know what is.

In my next post i,ll tell you how i built the website, what programs i used, wether or not it is profitable and more importantly how to get yourself started. So until my next post

Although this blog is about making money online, i am not an expert just a newbie ( e-prentice, rookie ) and my hope for this blog is that as i find my way through what works and more importantly what doesn,t when trying to make money online i can help you to avoid the scams.

Hopefully i,ll speed up the learning process for others and in return maybe some of you can help speed things up for me.

So firstly let me tell you where i am so far.
I,ve been trying to make money online since April 2008 and i have 4 websites up and running ( nothing fantastic but ok for a start ).

I have made some money through adsense but alas not as regular as i,d like and i,ve also made nominal amounts of money with clickbank and a few other affiliate programs.

I am currently trying a few other money making ideas and will post about them soon.

So please keep coming back and hopefully i can ( through my online journey ) help you to start making money or maybe there are a few newbies who would like to get together with myself and come up with a new unique way to make money online.

One last thing, if there ( by some slim chance ) are any successful online money makers out there reading this who could offer some of their expert advice to myself and readers in order to help get our foot on the first rung of the ladder, your help would be very much appreciated.

Advantages of Creating Your Own Products

There was a lively discussion at the Warrior internet marketing
forum recently. It went back and forth between advocates of
affiliate marketing and those who were telling us it's better to
have our own products.

To me, the clear winner was:

Create and sell your own products.

But by way of injecting some balance into this report...

  1. affiliate marketing is a great supplement and many marketers
are doing both - actually this combo is probably the best of both
worlds,

  2. it's also a great way to get your feet wet at the start,

  3. affiliate marketing is a great way to learn some of the
skills you'll need as a product owner.

If you ask me, you should aim to create your own product. Here are
the advantages:

MOTIVATION. When it's your own business you are building, you're
going to be more motivated. Even if you haven't had a single sale
yet, in your self-talk you can be saying "I am building a six
figure income business".

PROFIT. You get the full profit - minus whatever commission you
share with your affiliates. However they are bringing you
additional sales you would not otherwise have had, so if your
product is either low cost or near-zero cost to produce (such as
information products) then any business that an affiliate brings
you is additional income.

MARKETING DECISIONS. You have your own product which you can
promote freely. You can vary the offers. You can add or remove
bonuses. You alone control the marketing process.

PRICE. You set the price. You can also price test easily and check
whether total revenue is greater at a lower or higher price.

SPLIT TESTING. You can easily conduct split testing by varying one
element of your sales page such as the headline, or even the color
of the headline.

ACHIEVEMENT. With everything you do, you either achieve or else you
learn a lesson. Either way is good.

BUYERS LIST. You build a list of proven buyers - this is your
golden list.

creating your own products. Don't make the mistake I made earlier -
become an avid product creator. It's not as hard as you might think.
